CHURCH COVENANT.

Church Covenant.

Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, and having publicly declared our faith through baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we now, in the presence of God and one another, joyfully and solemnly enter into covenant as one family in Christ and as a part of The Church of Atlanta.

By the grace and strength of the Holy Spirit, we commit to walk together in love, unity, accountability, and authenticity. We will pursue lives that reflect the heart of Jesus, striving to grow in faith, wisdom, holiness, compassion, and purpose. We commit ourselves to building a church that reveals God’s glory, serves people well, and brings hope, healing, and transformation to our communities and beyond.

We covenant to protect the unity and vision of this house, to faithfully support its worship, teaching, leadership, outreach, and mission through our prayers, service, generosity, and presence. We will contribute cheerfully and consistently to the work of ministry, the care of people, the strengthening of families, and the advancement of the Gospel in our cities, our nation, and throughout the world.

We also commit to pursuing God personally through prayer, Scripture, worship, and devotion. We will lead our families with faith and integrity, seek the salvation and restoration of others, and live with wisdom, humility, and honor before both the Church and the world. We will guard our speech, reject gossip, division, and destructive behavior, and choose love, truth, peace, and reconciliation in all our relationships.

We covenant to watch over one another with grace and compassion, to encourage one another in seasons of strength and struggle, to pray for one another faithfully, and to carry each other through times of sickness, hardship, grief, and need. We will seek to embody the culture of Christ by being people who forgive quickly, love deeply, serve willingly, and remain committed to one another as the Body of Christ.

As a church committed to building something different, we will live beyond the walls of the sanctuary. We will engage our communities intentionally, serve the overlooked, advocate for justice, strengthen families, and be a visible expression of God’s love throughout the Tri-Cities and wherever God sends us.

Should we transition from this local body, we commit to remaining connected to the greater Body of Christ by faithfully joining and serving within another Bible-believing church where we can continue living out the spirit of this covenant and the truth of God’s Word.

Now unto Him who raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, who keeps us, strengthens us, and transforms us from glory to glory, be all honor, dominion, power, and praise forever and ever.

Amen.
